With COVID measures changing rapidly, At Waterman's, we are consistently revising our guideline following the County and California Governors directions in the effort to protect our community's health and allow all businesses to re-open. Watermans is offering outdoor activities with takeaway food services, and our top priority is the physical, mental, and financial health of your employees, our guests, and our community while maintaining our company viability.

Tahoe Paddle Jam
The Paddle Jam is guaranteed to be fast off the line, as competitors navigate a one-lap or two-lap triangle course on Lake Tahoe. Registration includes lunch, and pre-registration closes Friday, July 23 at 3 pm. Race day registration is available for an additional fee.
The Paddle Jam is the first race in the 2021 Tahoe Waterman Paddle Race Series. The Paddle Jam takes place on the pristine waters of Lake Tahoe surrounded by gorgeous peaks, Tahoe is a majestic playground for paddlers, a freshwater mecca in California.
LOCATION
Day-of registration and the race start at Watermans Landing, Carnelian Bay, CA.
FORMAT
There are three races available: a 4 miles single lap, an 8 miles double lap, and the Grom race.
Grom (1-mile - 1.6 km): The under-12 race is a 1-mile loop starting and ending at Watermans Landing.
One-Lap (4 mile - 6.5 km): The race format includes one 4-mile, triangle, buoy-marked lap on the lake running counterclockwise. Racers start in the water on their craft and finish on the water between the finish buoys.
Two-Laps (8 mile - 13 km): The race format includes two 4-mile, triangle, buoy-marked laps running counterclockwise. Racers start in the water on their craft and finish on the water between finish buoys.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL AND CRAFT TYPES
The Paddle Jam is suitable for all levels of paddlers and paddle craft, including outrigger (OC1, OC2, and OC6), surfski (1 and 2-person), stand-up paddleboard (SUP), and prone paddleboards. Team outrigger racing (OC6) will find the Two-Lap format an excellent chance to set a PR over 8 miles on a fast and technical course.
SPECIAL SAFETY NOTE
Lake Tahoe is an Alpine Lake at 6200 feet of elevation and we suggest practicing smart mountain safety. Plan to check weather conditions for race day temperature and winds. Plan to dress appropriately.
REGISTRATION
Register online (here at PaddleGuru) or on-site on race day. There is an additional fee for race morning registration.
PARKING
There is ample free parking at the event site along the streets of Carnelian Bay.
